Chronicles of Lancelot Release Update and Game Enhancements!

Dear Unikorn - Gayeti Players,

We hope this message finds you in great spirits and eagerly awaiting your adventures in The Chronicles of Lancelot.

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt apologies for the delay in the game's release. Originally scheduled for September 21st, we have made the challenging decision to reschedule the launch to October 21st.

The reason for this delay brings us exciting news that we can't wait to share with you. We've recently secured a small but significant investment, and we're thrilled to inform you that this boost will be channeled into optimizing and fortifying the game. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with an unforgettable gaming experience, and this additional time will enable us to ensure that every aspect of the game reaches the highest standards of quality and enjoyment.

Now, let's delve into what you can anticipate with this delay:

Standard Version:

Originally designed with 5 companion stories to explore, we are thrilled to announce that the standard version will now feature a total of 7 companion stories. This expansion will enrich your journey and offer a more immersive gaming experience.

Gold Edition:

For our Gold Edition players, we have something special in store for you. Initially offering 6 companion stories, the Gold Edition will now boast a total of 8 companion stories to explore.

Additionally, you will have access to a bonus area and encounter 5 new formidable enemies, making your adventure even more exciting and challenging for both Standard and Gold version.

We understand that delays can be disappointing, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding during this period. Your support means the world to us, and we are dedicated to delivering a game that exceeds your expectations.

We invite you to stay connected with us for updates, teasers, and exclusive content as we approach the new release date. Your feedback and enthusiasm inspire us to create a game that you will treasure.

If you have any questions or wish to share your thoughts with us, please do not hesitate to reach out. Your insights are invaluable to us.

Thank you for being a part of The Chronicles of Lancelot journey. We look forward to welcoming you into this enchanting world on October 21st, where epic adventures and thrilling stories await.

Warmest regards,

Unikorn - Gayeti

It is understandable the delay. Good news it will come with more content. Here hoping one of the extra companion is Kostas from the other game, because he was the only one that was top only and I think Lancelot would definitely top or flip flop with Kostas.

Thank you for your understanding, Alex, you're awesome :D Tomorrow we're gonna make a poll so we'll decide who will be the 2 extra companions between the new 4 characters :D I'll ask the team to see if we can include Katos in the poll also :D

This is really disappointing because the timing of the announcement makes it sound disingenuous. Delays are part of the development process and nothing people won’t understand. However, waiting for the scheduled release date to announce a WHOLE MONTH’S delay is extremely unprofessional. It is hardly possible that the reason cited for the delay (securing investment to expand the game) is something that the dev discovered just today, on the release date! And a month’s delay is not your standard last minute checks and debug delay- which can’t be more than a few days at best. What this says is that this was a planned delay, and that the dev deliberately kept everyone in the dark until the last minute. We’re all perfectly happy to wait longer and we all understand delays because of other concerns and priorities that might crop up- that’s not remotely the problem. The problem is being honest and transparent about the process. Of course, given how so many other devs just randomly disappear for years without giving any explanation for their unfinished projects, it is still commendable that you told us about this delay. Better late than never, I guess.

Thank you for replying- and I didn’t mean to criticise you but only highlighted how it looks when you post a delay on the scheduled release date. I completely understand that time management and creativity are not always easy to balance. I am also a huge admirer of your work and I have enjoyed your previous games- your work is excellent and speaks for itself! And thank you for saying that you’ll be regular in posting updates on progress- that would help us all understand the process better and make the wait easier! I am perfectly happy to wait for a month, or even longer, for something so amazing to be completed, just as long as you keep us informed :)

I, Unikorn, the one primarily responsible for this, sincerely apologize for the last-minute changes, and I fully understand your frustration and your right to criticize me. As an artist, I'm not adept at time management and processes; I tend to be overly optimistic about my own speed and overly perfectionistic about every little detail of the product. These are some of the factors that led to the delay, which I'm ashamed to admit I didn't address (and the fear of being criticized made me delay the announcement til now T.T), in addition to the recent investment for expanding the game that I mentioned in the previous message. I will do my utmost to avoid any further surprises until the scheduled release date by posting more developer blogs to keep everyone informed about the project's progress and striving for as much transparency as possible. I hope everyone can forgive me and continue to support the project because it's a labor of love for the whole team, and we will make every effort to make this additional month worthwhile. T.T
