Announcement: The Chronicles of Lancelot Demo Release and Releasing Process Update ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ


Dear Gayeti - Unikorn Gaymers, 

We would like to share with you the demo of "The Chronicles of Lancelot." Your unwavering support and patience have been instrumental in getting us to this point, and we couldn't have done it without you. (*^_^*)

While the demo is now available for you to explore, please keep in mind that we are still fine-tuning the ending, optimizing the gameplay, and addressing any lingering bugs. Your feedback will be invaluable in this process. ༼ ºلº ༽

Unfortunately, we must announce that the release date has to be postponed (-̩̩-̩̩͡_-̩̩-̩̩͡). We also want to inform you that we've made some changes to the scripts, and our dedicated developer and artist, Yeti, has been working tirelessly to resolve unexpected bugs, even at the cost of sleep. However, we haven't managed to fix all the issues just yet (;´Д`). It's our fault for not managing the workload and unexpected bugs properly, leading to multiple delays and causing disappointment among you all :(( We're sincerely sorry about that.

We genuinely appreciate your patience, and we're still hard at work. The release this time will be postponed to the end of November, and if we can make it earlier, I'll announce it to you guys. In the meantime, we hope you can try out the demo version. (‘・ω・’)

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for being an integral part of our community and for standing by us throughout this journey. Your enthusiasm and dedication have been a constant source of motivation for the entire Gayeti - Unikorn team. How do I say during the demo???

It be possible to have a choice for the text font? The font in the demo is really hard to read sometimes. I'm starting to get old.  ;)

Thanks for your suggestion; we will consider this one. :D If we decide to implement it, along with several other features requested by users, they will be included in version 1.1 or a newer version scheduled for release after November 30th, following the launch of version 1.0. 😊

First of all thx for the work :D

The demo runs a little low, maaybe no good grafic card or ram something like this, but it runs and what i can see is fine, hope its  improving when the full game ist out.

A Map and a quest guide would be really nice, i felt a little bit lost XD, and maybe a restspot would be nice where you can fully recover or you recover through sex with npcs.

And i serched for inventory and something like that, befor i realized i need to press F1 for that XD

But its a nice game and i appriciate your work :D

Yeah, there are still things to optimize, and we are actively working on it too.

Regarding the map and quest guide, we hope to include them, but it might come in a later update as we're aiming to meet the release day deadline. :3

Recovering through sex with NPCs is also a good idea! :3 I will definitely consider it. Haha.

help when i downloaded it just shows unity thing and goes black and doesn't do anything beyond that.

Wow, it looks really cool...should've read the "How to play.txt" first though since I couldn't find the button for the Inventory or Menu (F1) lol

That would be awesome if only a short (transparent) Overlay, that fades out when moving around a little, that shows the buttons (is there a "Jump" Option, btw.?)...

Or in the Menu - but since I didn't know which button was the Menu, a short overlay or a "Menu"-Button at least on the UI would really help, methinks. <3 I haven't gotten to any "Action" for the Main-Character myself yet though - only saw the sexy dude under the bridge and the couple going at it in the Forest.

But the Fight-Menu is pretty nice/standard - after realizing where the status-sympbols are, it's pretty intuitive, too.

The demo is the last piece of rubbish, nothing is going smoothly, flying dwarves in the city and when i met arthur i got kicked out of game please add how to change the solution maybe this is the Problem is there

Enjoyed the demo! Hope you guys add a map, little ol' me has a lot of trouble with orientation. Also is there a way to see the stats? I could tell that Jaime is more magic oriented but would love to see the stats nonetheless. Can't wait for the final product. And so sorry that there was so many issues behind the scenes.. I hope you guys get good rests and pls next time take a lot of time for development! >.< I already appreciate you guys for keeping us up to date and now with the Demo out we have a picture how the game plays.

Thank you for the encouragement Andy, your comment made my day :) You're right, NPCs like Peter make the game more entertaining, you'll see Tom the farmer boy, Allan the blacksmith, and some others in the full version, and I'll add "Undress Peter more" to the to-do list cos other guys have requested it too ^^

Good demo, bugs on a few NPCs but nothing critical. It took me a while to find the F1 menu and the interface isn't very nice. Could the dialog window be placed lower or have a button to hide it? A replay button to watch the action again would be cool. Arthur repops when we return to the city (he already takes a long time to kill, I hope it's a bug). Otherwise good job, keep it up!

Yeah cos the demand for the demo is really high I post it up first, I'll post a user manual like keys can be used soon, thank you Solymas for the patience and gentle support <3 I'll forward your feedback to the guys.

So it's possible to get rid of Arthur... How do we do it?

I don't know if it's a glitch, but when you leave the city to go into the forest and come back, the guy under the bridge gives you another necklace to sold for $2000 and the bread sells very well each time too. you buy the leather armor and the sword for Lancelot and the cloth for Jaime. You buy lots of potions and you go XP in the forest. I managed to kill him at lvl 4.

Yes, I noticed that you can buy and sell as much bread as you want, and it is very expensive to sell. So I sold enough to buy the armor and as many potions as possible (x100 each). there I was able to defeat Arthur at level 2 but it took me almost an hour. In any case thank you for your answer :)

We cut off the Arthur flow in the demo so I set Arthus HP to really high so the re-popup wont happen (yes he will in the demo if you beat him since his quest flow was cut), so you have my respect Solymas and Djyemee xD The guys under the bridge always gives you a new necklace if you sold the old one.

Thank you for your respect, it’s mutual. Just one question before I continue searching: is it possible in the demo to find the third "seed of life"? I searched the forest but only got two.

Thanks for keeping us up to date. I understand it takes time to fix bugs and I would rather wait for the game to be released without them.

Thank you for your encouragement Goobly, I need it so much! You know, when I built the Demo out the PC kept freezing (like after hours of building time), we tried everything, clearing the library, rebuilding, re-import assets, checking the code and shaders, etc. but turned out it's not our project's fault, the bug is in Unity (the engine) itself and an upgrade fix that, how crazy is that T.T

Thanks for finally releasing a demo. This gives us a glimpse of what we've been waiting for for so long... That said, you're apparently trying to improve the gameplay, I admit that it wouldn't be a luxury, and I'm (even) willing to wait for more 3 weeks (if you have the honesty to let us know now) to have much more elaborate gameplay than that of the demo.

Another thing: Lancelot's penis seems a little deformed to me, is there a way to correct that?

Delayed till 30 November?! That’s almost three more weeks/20 days! At this point, I am genuinely disappointed at your team’s inability to meet deadlines. This game was supposed to release on 21 September- it’s late by over two months. I don’t think anyone believes in your words or your timelines anymore- even this deadline for 30 Nov doesn’t feel honest. I appreciate the work that you do and I have loved your previous games but this is really really unacceptable. Please be honest with us, and make sure you post updates every 2-3 days telling us exactly what the issues or bugs are and what’s going on. Vague delays will not be accepted anymore!

It's Unikorn here. Just wanted to drop a quick thank you for sticking with us through the rollercoaster that's been the game development process. Thank you for your continued support and you have all the right to blame me, I understand ( I would too if I were in your shoes) My bad for any negative vibes from the delays, at each hiccup, I genuinely believed we could still hit our deadlines T.T 

Firstly the game started to be very simple, both gameplay, world, and script (for example, there's no shop, side quests, etc. and the old story is just, go there and save the prince and end), but it's my fault didn't stick to the original plan and design (I'm an artist honestly I really don't play well with planned stuff), keep adding new ideas, script plots, and features to the game (cos I really like it, like if you love your dog you'll feed it, buy clothes and accessories for it, but new probs like new works and bugs occurs after that, since we're indie, some of the guys work part time and be on and off which make the progress a lil more unpredictable) and the dev time is extended like forever (but the core of everything is for you to have a better game to play)

This will be the final delay, cos I'm satisfied with all the changes and the main frame of the game is fine now we just have to do the surface things like correcting effect position, effect/animation timing, quest/animation bugs, closing holes and stuff. As you're at the limit I will do no more changing and just do the completing. Appreciate your patience, and I'm pumped for you to finally get your hands on the game. Also, I'll post update more frequently to get you catched up!
